Monitor Adjustment for Black/White Photos
Some monitors have been adjusted so that black and white photos appear too dark.
A monitor adjusted for best B/W viewing will enable you so see the difference
between each of the grayscale blocks (A-Z) in Color Vision OptiCal spectrum above.
Use the brightness and contrast controls of your monitor to produce the desired differentiation.
